SKUP evaluation of LabPad Evolution Ksmart for CRP-measurements
SKUP is a Scandinavian group that performs independent evaluations of the analytical performance and user-friendliness of laboratory equipment and rapid tests used for point of care testing (POCT).
The report from the SKUP evaluation of LabPad Evolution Ksmart has now been published on our web site. It is a POCT system for measurements of CRP, (PT) INR, d-dimer and fibrinogen, and it is intended for professional use. This evaluation concerned the CRP-test. It was performed at five primary health care centres to determine the analytical performance and user-friendliness in the hands of the intended users. The analytical performance specifications for repeatability (CV%) and accuracy were not fulfilled. The performance specification for user-friendliness was not fulfilled.
